Addiko Bank files arbitration request with the ICSID against the Republic of Slovenia

Addiko Bank AG has lodged a request for arbitration before the ICSID against the Republic of Slovenia following the passage of a law concerning the retroactive introduction of an exchange-rate cap in relation to all agreements for CHF loans concluded between 28 June 2004 and 31 December 2010. The Austrian bank alleges that the law violates EU law, the Slovenian Constitution, as well as the Austria-Slovenia BIT.
