Paris Court of Appeal annuls arbitral award based on Achmea and PL Holdings decisions

On 19 April 2022, the Paris Court of Appeal (International Commercial Chamber) in Republique de Pologne v Société Cec Praha et Société Slot Group AS declared Poland’s action admissible and annulled the arbitral award rendered in Paris on 3 February 2020 (under the aegis of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA No. 2017-10) in favour of the Czech company Slot Group AS).
