US District Court confirms US$600 million ICC Award against the Democratic Republic of Congo following default judgment proceedings

The decision entitles DIGOIL to seize the DRC’s assets in the United States. And due to the DRC’s failure to appear before the US Court, the request for confirmation was granted without any of the refusal grounds specified in Article V of the New York Convention being considered.
